Born in 1979, Hüseyin Koç is 1.98 m tall. He started playing volleyball in 1992 with Bursa DSİ Nilüferspor. In 1996, he transferred to Çankaya Municipality. (In 1998, Çankaya Municipality was the champion in 2nd league and advanced to 1st league.) In 1998, he transferred to Ziraat Bankası. He played for Ziraat Bankası from 1998-2003. In 2005, he transferred to Greater Istanbul Municipality, and in 2008, he transferred to Arkas Sports. Koç has played for the Turkish National Team 220 times. He was chosen “Best Setter” in the 2002 Spring Cup Championship, “Most Valuable Player” in the 2002 Spring Cup 2nd league, and “Best Setter” in the 2004 Spring Cup Championship. In 2005 he was on the winning team at the UNIVERSIADE championship in Izmir. His team was 4th in the 2006 European League and also played in the 2007 Universiade European Championship (where he was chosen best setter)
