ARKAS SPORTS SAILING DEPARTMENT WINS NATIONALLY

Arkas Sports sailors participating on the National Team achieved success in the 38th Balkan Sailing Championship held on September 1-7 at Kocaeli - Karamürsel, where 140 sailors participated from 7 countries.

Championship in the 470 class after many years?? Arkas Sports Club member Kaan Özgönenç raced in the 470 class, where he won the Turkish Balkan Championship after waiting 9 years. Kaan Özgönenç and Serhat Altay, who are sportsmen from Izmir, won the Balkan Championship for Turkey in 1997.

Second-place in the Balkan competition in Laser class
Arkas Sports member Mustafa Çakır raced in the Laser standard class and achieved success by placing second in the Balkan competition. His highest achievement in the past 5 years was to place third in Laser Standard class in Turkey in 2003.
