Arkas Sports was given the Professional Service Award, which the Alsancak Rotary Club awards every year. The Alsancak Rotary Club is convinced that the best way to encourage excellence in business and professional life is to commend people and institutions that merit such an award. The Alsancak Rotary Club presented this year's award to Lucien Arkas, President of Arkas Sports Club, in a ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel.
Temel Aycan Şen, President of the Alsancak Rotary Club, noted that the club decided to give their first professional service award this year, the101st year of the Rotary Club. He said that they decided to award it to Arkas Sports, this year's champion in the Men's Volleyball 1st League, for their success and the contribution they have made to the city of Izmir
