Right on the heels of winning the Slalom event last month at the Turkish Windsurfing Championship held in Datça by the Turkish Sailing Federation, Enes Yılmazer, a surfer from Arkas Sports, stood on the winners podium again at the World Championship held in Torbole, Italy.
Yılmazer accomplished a first in Turkish windsurfing history when he placed first out of all surfers at the World Youth Slalom Windsurf Championship on July 7-14. Kordel Sebastian from Germany placed second and Mortefon Pierre from France place third in the championship, which featured 46 athletes from 19 countries.
Cenk Değer, Member of the Board of Directors at Arkas Sports, said, "This achievement by Enes Yılmazer has made us very proud. We are reaping the fruit of disciplined work. We expect him to achieve the same success in the men's category.”
